Project Description: This project involved construction of a residual waste landfill and closure relating to processed foundry waste from a heavy manufacturing operation. The project consisted of clearing & grubbing; installation of erosion control measures; installation of a geotextile 40-mil PVC geomembrane, a 2-foot cap fill layer and a 0.5 foot topsoil cover; cleaning of the sedimentation basin and installation of an outlet structure; installation of screening berms; and site restoration including placement of seed, fertilizer and mulch over the landfill closure footprint and disturbed areas.
Project Duration: The project started in June of 2015 and was completed October of 2015.
Project Cost: The total project construction cost was approximately $930,000.
